FAT LADIES CAN SING ...

Today I've come back. Lots to talk about; but, give me a minute or two to get started.

Lots of things happening down here in Louisiana. It seems as though our politicians can't count by the BILLIONS ... American taxpayer's money that got lost. Even worse, the poor people of Louisiana had to sign a 'COVENANT' to get the crumbs that were thrown at them.

Everytime an article appears in the papers or televisions, the audits refer to MILLIONS ... NOT BILLIONS!

Now, if Congress allocated $ 11.6 BILLION (designated for homeowners) and HUD designated in excess of another $ 4 BILLION. Why are most homeowners barely getting ~ $10,000 to 1) Restore their homes AND 2) pay for Homeowners Insurance for 3 years. UMMMMMMMMMM ... that only gives the homeowners about $ 1,000 to get started into renovation projects before losing their homes.

UNINSURABLE!!!! Before the storm, the old frame homes with tin roofs (to say the least of the old asbestos siding with all the carcingens) were deemed fire hazards and therefore 'uninsurable'. Now the story has changed under something called a 'COVENANT'. This to me is 'LEGAL THEFT'! It only passes funds through the homeowners into a booming insurance industry who now will be happy to sell you a policy.

Now, some would say, "What's wrong with that?" Hold on to your pants. First you were 'uninsurable'; then, the grants were based on 'ESTIMATED DAMAGES' who drove by damaged property to give an estimated assessment of damages and values and compared the property to some unheard of property. Needless to say ... LOW VALUES!

As an example, where on earth could you expect to find a livable residence with 1800 sq. ft., 2 baths, and comfortable upgrades for $45,000. The insurance industry is giving another value for premiums: HIGH: $161,00 ... LOW: $ 131,000. The 'COVENANT' is simply redirecting benefits of 'grants' from the homeowners.
